This peak is also a famous trekking peak in the Annapurna region for those who wanna see the beautiful, unclimbed holy mount fishtail. This peak is situated just in front of the fishtail(6993mtr).to complete this programme we walk along many villages ,forest and get upto base camp.from mardi himal trek we can viewed annapurna base camp trek , ghandruk ghorepani trek, panchase trek, pokhara valley and many hills.amazing feature of this peak and trek is we always walk along the ridge with multiplex 360 degree scenario.this could be probably best climbing experience for those who have less time .
Mardi peak is bit technical although it is not very high enough there are two routes for climbing: east flank and west flank , east flank is bit easier than western part. Mardi peak was ascended by Basil Goodfellow in 1951.climbing mostly goes along the rocky part and bit of ice climbing.
